There are always those songs that get stuck in your head, and "Message In a Bottle" by The Police is definitely one of those; whether we know the song from when it played on the radio or from the younger generation constantly playing this song on Guitar Hero. The way that this song can instantly play on repeat in your head, we can't get the flared look out of our minds! Flattering flared outfits are kind of like traffic flares, not that they're sending a message to go around and avoid the situation (no one wants to be avoided...or to be a glowing red flame), but they immediately turn heads and all of the attention will be on your amazing outfit.
This Ark & Co. striped skirt is the perfect fall transition piece color-wise. The sky blue mixed with the neutrals is summery yet with the addition of red, an ultimate fall color, the skirt becomes an easy fall piece that can be worn with or without a sheer stocking. The loose black blouse drapes on the body in such a flattering way, but can also be tucked into trousers or this flared skirt. With a necktie-like detail that can also be tied into a bow, little neck jewelry is needed. Because of this and the bright colors of the skirt, we added simple accessories with neutral tones. A simple short necklace, black earrings and bracelets, simple watch, and black flower ring is all you need (and of course an essential black cross body).
The other look is this great dress that flares from the hips, not the traditional waistline flare that so many skirts and dresses have. This dress has side pockets with gold zipper closure that adds a nice element to the dress to keep it from being too simple. The eye-lit neckline also creates the right amount of "oomph" (yes, I attached the Merriam Webster definition of "oomph") for the dress. Just like the black blouse, the neck detailing is enough to not need a necklace, so instead, we added fun gold earrings, a gorgeous jeweled clutch, plain watch, and small white and gold bangle. These two simple outfits don't need too much accessorizing, which makes these flared looks super easy to wear out and about!
