The Trina Turk top covers every single shade between black and white. The Joseph Ribkoff leopard legging/pants fit everyone perfectly. The high rise is easy to disguise and fun print is subtle yet creates a fun element that sets these pants apart from other grey/black pants. This black MZ Wallace bag is a classic, and goes with just about everything; however, the red detailing adds some color to the grey outfit. Simply jewelry goes well with this patterned ensemble, so a wrap bracelet with a purple hue and chain necklace both go well with this outfit!
As I began to write this post, I had some serious doubts about the spelling of "grey." Of course I had to consult others to get their opinion and naturally, not until I did some internet research could I then reach my final decision. According to dictionary.reference.com, both grey and gray are hues between black and white. So without really clearing any of my confusion up, I decided to stick with the spelling that E. L. James has chosen for her soon-to-be-movie book, Fifty Shades of Grey (I'm still confused as to how that's going to turn out...do I even want to know? Does anyone even want to know?) Black and white are both staples in everyones wardrobe because they go with just about everything, except black with brown and (occasionally) navy. As the saying goes: black and blue shall never be seen unless inside my washing machine! With boxes upon boxes of fall clothes that arrive daily, we have great black and white pieces, and every shade of grey between the two. This black Bailey 44 leather paneled pencil skirt is a great piece for this fall-adding that edgy look that is very popular this year while maintaining class by not being too showy or short. Adding some color to the outfit is the beige sleeveless blouse by Harlyn with pink detailing. To keep with the greyscale, this black clutch with bow clasp adds a sweet element to the outfit that compliments the blouse. To top off the outfit, gold cuffs and bangles are the perfect arm candy and the chunky gold chain necklace ties the whole piece together.

Trends are kind of like teenagers: once they can start driving-they seem to come and go as they please. Though some styles gain so much popularity that they can be deemed "timeless," like the iconic Chanel jacket, more commonly, trends no longer make it to the runway for another season. In order to work the fashion system, come in and look through our new fall clothes that can be worn year after year while still being "in style" and "trendy." Look 1: A striped shirt is a staple in anyones closet that can be worn from season to season, but this one has button detailing and a lace material to separate it from any old tee. A straight jean that fits well is also an item of clothing that is a must in everyones closet. Black ballet flats are also something that can be worn year after year...or until the sole wears off (always an issue). With a funky necklace like this one of an angelic figure holding a sun, and a big day bag (which we have plenty of!) this casual everyday outfit is complete.
Look 2: For the edgier woman, this faux leather vest is extremely trendy, especially with the double material look (the back is a ribbed sweater material). With a pair of jeans and white tank, the vest becomes the main piece of the outfit, which is perfect because it certainly is a head-turner. For the chillier days, you can add a patterned scarf or one with a bold color to add contrast to the outfit. Yet again, a big tote to hold all of your necessities when shopping, and a watch to know when to stop shopping and get back to work. Look 3: The early fall is an awkward time when the days can be excruciatingly hot but the nights can drastically cool off. The peplum look is back to live another season, and this black, fitted peplum tank dress is perfect to wear out to a dinner party, when it's nice to show some shoulder while the sun is out, but once it gets chilly, this gorgeous Chanel-like jacket with chain detailing is perfect to put on. The gorgeous, soft fur collar is removable for the times you don't feel like having a furry animal resting around your neck. With a simple cross-body bag or clutch and bracelet, this timeless outfit is now complete! It's that odd time of the year when it's still the middle of the summer, yet fall clothes keep popping up on shelves and hangers in stores everywhere. But that's even better for you! We're making room for all of the great fall clothing that arrives daily, which means summer clothing is on sale at MARCH! All of the summer styles that we have been blogging about, and more, are now on sale. Skirts, patterned pants, flirty dresses, and breezy tops are all 30-50% off!!! Who can resist a good sale? I know I can't. There are still two months half left before the fall hits-which is plenty of time to wear new summer items...and begin to stock up on fall essentials!! Why make two separate trips to pick up summer and fall apparel when you can get both at once? A lot of the summer things can even be worn throughout the fall! Like this sheer navy polka dot blouse! Eveny these fantastic straw beachy hats are on sale! Come in to stock your closet with wonderful summer looks at up to half off!!
Though many people shy away from patterns, we disagree! Patterns can make simple outfits so much more fun and interesting. Mix and matching different patterns has also become popular, but before we go that far, we'll just stick with classic stripes and other patterns that remind us of various fashion houses like Chanel and Hermès. This new (1.) Ark and Co striped dress is super cute with the fitted top and flared skirt. The darting around the waist creates that fun, flirty look while the neutral colors keep the dress classy, because, of course, you never want to appear like anything other than that. This (2.) adjustable, leather necklace has a gorgeous pendant surrounded by small gold studs to stand apart from pattern of the dress. With a ton of great costume/fashion jewelry in the store, we can't help but choosing something to par with an outfit, like this (3.) white and gold bangle with marching elephants. For those of you who like the extra cinch in the waist, our (4.) adjustable belts are perfect for this dress. Coming in many colors, these belts are great to be worn both at the waist and hips, too! Though some people think pairing patterns with other patterns can never turn out well, you can prove them wrong by adding one of our great new (5.) fabric clutches to this dress. The subtle pattern isn't too bold to detract from the dress, but bold enough to compliment the dress.
Another cute pattern also from Ark and Co is this (6.) Chanel-looking shift in a light material perfect for the hot July weather, even when it has been raining sporadically so far this summer. With this simple (7.) pewter leather clutch and (8.) gold bangle, the pattern still shines. And adding this great (9.) chic, sparkly floral ring as a last minute addition can never hurt. Together, these dresses have patterns that stand out and can be enhanced with the right accessories that are neither too bold nor boring. |
